Jerry Jeudy Should Stay on Benches in Week 1

Saturday, September 12, 10:01 AM

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy enters Week 1 with a starting job, but not much fantasy security. He drew 106 targets last season and turned them into 50 catches for 602 yards and two touchdowns. Harold Fannin Jr. actually led Cleveland with 107 targets, and now first-round rookie KC Concepcion Jr. and second-rounder Denzel Boston are both starting too. That leaves Jeudy fighting for work in an offense led by Deshaun Watson, which is enough to make Sunday's matchup with Jacksonville hard to trust. The Jaguars allowed 3,707 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns last season, but they also picked off 22 passes. RotoBaller has Jeudy at WR77 for Week 1, and its current start-sit guidance recommends Cleveland's receivers only in deeper leagues with multiple flex spots. Jeudy may still see enough snaps to matter, but there are too many questions about the target split and quarterback play. He should stay on the bench in most leagues.

Michael Pittman Jr. News

Michael Pittman Jr. a High-Floor, Low-Ceiling WR3 Option in Week 1

Saturday, September 12, 6:56 PM

After spending the first six years of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is entering his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026. In Pittsburgh, Pittman Jr. is the WR2 on paper behind DK Metcalf. However, Pittman Jr. typically operates in the short and intermediate areas of the field, which may make him a high-volume target for the Steelers' 42-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In Week 1, Pittsburgh is set to host the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta fielded a middling pass defense in 2025, allowing the 15th-most passing yards (3,773) and 20th-most passing touchdowns (27) in the NFL. The Falcons will be starting third-string quarterback Cooper Rush (back) on Sunday, so the game could devolve into a low-scoring, run-heavy affair. Still, Pittman Jr. profiles as a high-floor, low-ceiling WR3/flex option for fantasy managers in Week 1.
