Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen reported that quarterback Joe Flacco will be the team's starter moving forward. Indianapolis is going all-in on Flacco, who they believe gives them the "best chance to win right now." Steichen also noted they have not given up on second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson. Evidently, Indy has finally realized what was immediately apparent when Richardson went down with a hip injury in Week 4 -- the veteran QB is far and away the most competent signal-caller on this squad. The 39-year-old will be a massive boon to all Colts' pass-catchers and should help substantiate the offense overall for the remainder of his tenure as the starter. Among the 225 quarterbacks who have dropped back 250-plus times since the year 2000, Richardson ranks 222nd in completion rate (50%).

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 20 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown and took 10 carries for 37 yards and three additional scores during the team's 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Eagles offense was barely on the field in the first quarter due to a long Bengals offensive drive, leading to another week without points scored in the first 15 minutes of play. However, Philadelphia turned things up on both sides of the ball after this and the 26-year-old was everything for the offense in Week 8. Running back Saquon Barkley had a few scoring opportunities taken from him due to three brotherly shove touchdown runs by Hurts, but this was the best game the Eagles signal-caller has looked as a passer all season as well. This offense has been clicking since the bye week and Hurts has not turned the ball over while scoring a total of nine touchdowns in the past three weeks. Moving into Week 8, Hurts and the Birds face off against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
