Jonathan Taylor a Low-End RB1 in Week 2

Saturday, September 13, 7:38 AM

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor will host the Denver Broncos in Week 2. Taylor turned in a solid, if unspectacular, Week 1 performance in a win over the Miami Dolphins, rushing for 71 yards and catching three passes for 27 yards. He will look to find the end zone against a talented Denver defense that allowed just the 21st-most fantasy points per game to running backs in 2024. The Broncos continued that trend in Week 1 as they shut down the running game of the Tennessee Titans, holding Tony Pollard to 3.3 yards per carry. Taylor should see plenty of volume, but the tough matchup downgrades him to more of a low-end RB1 in fantasy this weekend.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Looks Poised For A Better Game

Saturday, September 13, 1:44 AM

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a lackluster Week 1, but his fantasy outlook improves considerably heading into a favorable Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. As the RB39 in Week 1, Tracy managed only 4.5 fantasy points with 24 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards, but he dominated the backfield with a 66.2% timeshare. This heavy workload, combined with the Cowboys' defensive struggles against the run, makes him an intriguing play. Dallas allowed a whopping 158 rushing yards in Week 1, the fifth-most in the NFL, and was the 23rd-ranked fantasy defense against running backs last season, giving up 22.67 fantasy points per game. Given the potential for a high-volume day, Tracy has a chance to deliver RB2 numbers.
