Josh Allen to Sit Along with Most of Bills' Starters

Saturday, August 22, 6:31 AM

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and most of the team's starters will sit out Saturday's preseason matchup with the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe, who adds that a few young starters may play. A perennial MVP candidate and one of the most prolific fantasy quarterbacks of all time, Allen enters his ninth season as RotoBaller's QB1 following six straight finishes as a top two quarterback, with 2025 accounting for his fourth QB1 finish in that span. While Allen hasn't topped 4,000 passing yards since 2023, the arrival of wide receiver DJ Moore should raise his passing ceiling, while he remains a threat to score a rushing touchdown every week. Representing fantasy's safest option at the position, Allen is currently being drafted around the middle of the second round in single-quarterback leagues.

Kyler Murray News

Justin Jefferson Primed for Bounce-Back Season With Kyler Murray

Sunday, August 23, 6:47 PM

Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson is set to bounce back from his disastrous 2025 season. With quarterback J.J. McCarthy under center, Jefferson struggled, hauling in 44 of 80 targets for 537 yards and two touchdowns, all career lows. The Vikings named quarterback Kyler Murray the starter. While his passing production may not match that of former Vikings quarterbacks Kirk Cousins or Sam Darnold, it's expected to be far better than McCarthy's. Even when veteran Carson Wentz started, Jefferson averaged 6.8 receptions for 95.4 yards in those five games. Jefferson is currently ranked WR6 in RotoBaller's positional rankings, and assuming Murray stays healthy, he should be a surefire WR1 option in 2026.
