Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had a robust workload, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in the Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Jacobs' rushing yardage was over 100 yards for the second time this season. The Raiders running back broke off a 63-yard run for a touchdown in the second quarter to extend the Raiders lead. Despite the strong performance, Jacobs ceded receiving work to Ameer Abdullah again. The Raiders appear to favor Abdullah in most passing-down situations. Jacobs and the Raiders have a Week 13 bye week, so the team will have an extra week to rest and prepare for their Week 14 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings run defense has been strong this season, allowing the fourth-fewest yards per carry. Jacobs has proven a reliable asset this season, but fantasy managers must place him on the bench next week.

Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison easily led the team in rushing during Monday's dejecting 12-10 loss to the division-rival Chicago Bears, taking 10 carries for 52 yards with two receptions for 11 yards. Mattison didn't stand much of a chance at first-half production, considering Minnesota ran only 22 plays for 76 total yards and failed to convert any of their four third downs. But the 25-year-old Boise State product managed to supply a tolerable fantasy result in the end, as the Vikings were able to sustain drives a bit more effectively during the second half. Perhaps the bigger fantasy story for Mattison was his ability to seemingly extinguish the recent rise of the speedier Ty Chandler, who was relegated to sheer change-of-pace duties with five touches for 11 total yards. Still without a rushing touchdown in 2023, however, Mattison heads on a Week 13 bye as one of the NFL's least impressive lead backs before a meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14.
