Ka'imi Fairbairn Making Significant Progress

Tuesday, November 28, 12:25 PM

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) is eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve after the Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos and he is making significant progress in his recovery from a strained quadriceps, according to sources. Houston waived fill-in kicker Matt Ammendola on Monday, but he's a possibility to rejoin the practice squad. Meanwhile, the team is working out veteran Brett Maher on Tuesday. When healthy, Fairbairn is the Texans' regular kicker. The 29-year-old is in his seventh year with the team and had made 18 of his 19 field-goal tries and all 14 of his extra-point opportunities this year in eight games played before injuring his quadriceps in the Week 9 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tyler Bass Remains Worth Deploying

Thursday, October 26, 12:09 AM

Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass has not gotten the job done in fantasy in each of his last three games, totaling nine points with zero field-goal conversions across this interval. Bass' drastic downturn has gone hand in hand with Buffalo's inability to start fast, as they've gotten themselves mired in negative-to-neutral game scripts in each contest since Week 5. The 26-year-old has gone a troubling 1-for-4 on his most recent FG attempts, but wind has played a considerable factor on some of his latest misfires. Fantasy managers may want to go away from Bass due to his recent struggles, but the fourth-year kicker will be difficult to move out of top-five conversations in Week 8 versus the Tampa Buccaneers for his spot in a normally potent offense.
