Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt had 33 carries for 104 rushing yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 12 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 26 receiving yards. The veteran running back hadn't handled more than 13 carries or 14 touches in a single game this season, so it was a bit surprising to see him finish with more than double both of those totals. The increased volume led to inflated counting stats, so while his 3.5 yards per carry aren't very intriguing, he still racked up enough yardage to produce as a top-12 running back in fantasy football this week. Isiah Pacheco (knee) could return next week and complicate the backfield dynamic, but Hunt should still be able to carve out a role for himself with standalone value as an RB3/flex.

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin is ascending into a deep-league fantasy option as he heads into a Week 12 bye. After J.K. Dobbins (foot) was placed on IR, the 25-year-old went from being a healthy scratch to the backup in Denver, where he handled six carries and a reception last week. He was relatively inefficient (3.2 YPC), but he did score a touchdown and averaged more yards per carry than R.J. Harvey. As a result of the touchdown, he salvaged his fantasy performance and had low-end value in deeper leagues. He should build on this momentum with a larger role in Week 13, assuming he earns more snaps in the Broncos' backfield timeshare. Harvey remains the primary ball-carrier, but McLaughlin is suddenly on the fantasy radar as a mid-range RB4 and potential deep-league streamer going forward.
