Is Keenan Allen the New No. 1 WR in Los Angeles?

Tuesday, September 16, 2:05 PM

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen once again made an impact in Monday night's 20-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, catching five of seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. He remains reliable and continues to earn quarterback Justin Herbert's trust in key moments. His 33% red-zone target share through two games shows he's a primary option near the goal line. The Week 3 matchup against the Denver Broncos will be challenging, as their secondary is among the best in the league. However, Allen's ability to get separation on short routes and move the chains should keep him heavily involved. If the veteran stays healthy, he looks to be a strong WR2/3 with touchdown upside going forward.

Travis Hunter's Two-Way Load Grows Ahead of Bengals Matchup

Wednesday, September 10, 2:11 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter's two-way role is set to grow in Week 2 as the Jaguars prepare for the Bengals. After logging 44 of 63 offensive snaps and just six on defense in his NFL debut, the staff plans to ease him into packages on the back end while still managing his workload. Hunter already looked comfortable on offense, leading Jacksonville in targets (8) and receptions (6) for 33 yards, and his ability to threaten defenses after the catch should continue to earn designed touches. The added defensive snaps give Jacksonville a flexible chess piece for passing downs and late-game situations. With Cincinnati's defense still unproven, expect Hunter's snap share and impact to climb as the Jaguars find more ways to keep their difference-maker on the field.
