Kendrick Bourne News

Kendrick Bourne Is Mostly a Deep-League Option in 2026

Sunday, August 9, 11:20 AM

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has a defined role heading into 2026, but it may not be enough to matter in most redraft leagues. Bourne caught 37 of 53 targets for 551 yards in 16 games with San Francisco last season and did not score a touchdown. Arizona signed him to a two-year deal in March, and the team's own website has him sliding in as the WR3 behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. Trey McBride also sits near the top of the passing game, so Bourne could have trouble seeing enough volume to become a weekly fantasy option. He did average 14.9 yards per catch last year and gives the Cardinals an experienced receiver who can step into a larger role if Harrison or Wilson misses time. For now, though, RotoBaller has Bourne 230th overall and WR88 in half-PPR. That puts him outside the range of players fantasy managers need to prioritize in standard leagues, though he can still make sense as depth in deeper formats.

Luke McCaffrey News

Luke McCaffrey Making a Case for a Prominent Role

Wednesday, August 5, 5:51 AM

The Washington Commanders have one of the league's most wide-open receiver depth charts behind locked-in starter Terry McLaurin, but a player who has been consistently showing up through the early stages of training camp has been third-year wideout Luke McCaffrey. Commanders reporter Ben Standig points out that McCaffrey has regularly seen work alongside McLaurin and Treylon Burks in three-receiver sets, and on an overall down day for the offense on Tuesday, the 2024 third-round pick stood out with a number of positive plays. McCaffrey's usage was on the rise in year two before a broken collarbone ended his season on the opening kickoff of a Week 9 loss to the Seahawks, but with the injury squarely behind him, he's been able to stand out from a muddled receiver room, and he energized the crowd on Tuesday with a pair of deep connections from Jayden Daniels. McCaffrey is not a player regularly being drafted in 2026 lineup leagues, but if he can continue to develop chemistry with Daniels and earn a regular role in the Commanders' offense, he could work his way into streaming consideration by season's end.
