Kenny Golladay Worked Out For The Jets

Wednesday, September 6, 7:00 PM

Free agent wide receiver Kenny Golladay worked out for the New York Jets on Wednesday but will not sign at this time, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. The Jets hosted a few free agents on Wednesday, according to Pelissero, including quarterback Anthony Brown, running back Ellis Merriweather, and wide receivers James Proche and Jeff Smith. Golladay, who was one of the biggest free agent flops in recent memory, will continue to look elsewhere for a new home. The New York Giants released him just two years into a four-year, $72 million deal back in March. He's still just 29 years old and posted back-to-back 1000-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019 with the Detroit Lions so he could get another shot elsewhere.

Tim Patrick A Desperation Option Against Bills

Sunday, December 15, 8:05 AM

Detroit Lions wide receiver Tim Patrick is a desperation play on Sunday in the Lions' showdown with the Buffalo Bills. The veteran has played more than half of Detroit's snaps in seven of the past eight games and is coming off a two-touchdown performance against Green Bay last week. That level of production, however, has been an anomaly, as Patrick has only two games with more than three catches. With the Lions likely to reserve high-quality touches for receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, tight end Sam LaPorta, and the running back tandem of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, Patrick is a fringe option at best, even in deep leagues.
