Buccaneers Re-Sign Ko Kieft for Tight End Depth

Friday, March 13, 11:27 AM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht announced on Friday that the team agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal to bring tight end Ko Kieft (leg) back for the 2026 season. Kieft suffered a leg injury in Week 3 of last season and never played again. The 28-year-old former sixth-round selection by the Bucs out of Minnesota in 2022 has played for the team the last four years, catching only eight passes on 15 targets for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his scores came in his first two years in the league. Kieft will return to Tampa for a fifth season, but he won't be anywhere on the fantasy football radar. He will most likely enter the 2026 regular season this fall as the TE3 behind both Cade Otton and Payne Durham. Kieft's best year was his rookie campaign in 2022, when he had seven catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. He hasn't caught a pass since 2023.

Terrance Ferguson News

Terrance Ferguson a Sneaky Dynasty Buy?

Thursday, March 26, 5:18 PM

Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson is trending up in dynasty leagues ahead of the 2026 season. On the surface, managers may be hesitant to buy Ferguson in dynasty leagues. After all, Colby Parkinson had a strong 2025 campaign, and the team unexpectedly re-signed Tyler Higbee. The two combined for 68 catches, 689 yards, and 11 touchdowns, leaving very few targets to be distributed to other members of the position group. However, taking a closer look at this offense reveals a clear path to production for Ferguson. Parkinson is due for significant touchdown regression and has not previously shown that he can be a true No. 1 tight end. Meanwhile, Higbee is getting older and becoming injury-prone after missing 21 games over the last two seasons. That opens the door for Ferguson, who had five catches, 87 yards, and two touchdowns over his final two games as a rookie in 2025. Year 2 is a common time for tight ends to break out, and Ferguson has significant draft capital attached to him as a former second-round pick. We wouldn't be surprised if the Oregon product makes a tremendous leap given his strong finish to 2025, his draft capital, and his teammates' projected downturns.
