Kyle Williams Shows Off Big-Play Ability in Saturday's Preseason Win

Sunday, August 23, 6:07 AM

New England Patriots second-year wide receiver Kyle Williams got behind the Eagles defense for a 69-yard touchdown catch in the team's 24-21 preseason win on Saturday night, now giving him two impressive scores in as many games this summer. Williams had a slow start to training camp, with some around the Patriots even speculating that his roster spot could be in jeopardy after an offseason overhaul of the receiver room, but he has continued to stack days of late, showing up big whenever his number has been called. While his long touchdown on Saturday came from backup Tommy DeVito, Williams' game-breaking speed could show up regularly in a New England offense helmed by Drake Maye, who proved himself one of the league's best deep ball throwers in his 2025 breakout season. Williams could ultimately still struggle to find consistent production as part of a deep receiver room, but he has the potential to help win weeks as a late-round pick in 2026 best ball drafts.

Skyler Bell News

Skyler Bell Returns to Practice on Monday

Tuesday, August 25, 6:30 AM

Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Skyler Bell (groin) was back on the practice field on Monday after being sidelined for more than two weeks with a groin injury. Fortunate to have avoided serious injury throughout his four-year collegiate career, the absence was a new experience for Bell and one he was happy to put behind him. "I felt like a kid in a candy store," he told reporters after practice. "I've been out for a little minute. I haven't actually missed this much time ever in football, so it was just so good to be back out there with the guys." The fourth-round pick out of Connecticut had enjoyed a strong start to camp before the injury, but his time away will leave him playing catch-up, and it is unclear if he will participate in Buffalo's final preseason outing against the Steelers on Thursday. At RotoBaller's WR119, Bell is not a player who needs to be drafted, but his participation should be monitored early in the season as the Bills look to find production behind DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir.
