Who Should I Start? Mark Andrews or Jayden Higgins

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has struggled lately, but he has a promising opportunity to bounce back against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football in Week 16. Andrews is the overall TE18 in full-PPR leagues this year, and he has just eight catches for 83 yards and zero touchdowns over his last four games. Last week's matchup against the Bengals seemed like the perfect opportunity for Andrews to explode, but that didn't come to fruition. Perhaps this week will be better, as the veteran faces off against a Patriots defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points and sixth-most receptions to opposing tight ends in 2025. With that said, managers are justifiably wary about starting Andrews after his ugly stretch of games, no matter how intriguing the matchup may be. Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins has established himself as the team's secondary wide receiver behind Nico Collins, but he remains a very volatile play from week-to-week since the team prefers to rely on its defense and running the ball instead of airing it out. Higgins only had one catch for four yards last week after hauling in at least three catches in five straight weeks. He should be able to bounce back in a favorable matchup against the Raiders, and he does have four touchdowns on the season. The rookie from Iowa State has upside enough to take a flier on if you are desperate in deep leagues, but he's only the No. 45 WR in RotoBaller's rankings, making him an option best left on the bench if possible this week.
