More Targets Coming for Marvin Harrison Jr.?

Tuesday, October 7, 4:48 PM

After rewatching the tape of the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing said he felt like he didn't do enough to get wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. the ball down the stretch, according to Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. "Going back and looking at it, I think there's maybe a couple of things I could've done differently," Petzing said. Harrison had only five targets on the day, which tied for a season low, but he caught four of them to finish two yards shy of the century mark for the first time in 2025. He caught a season-high six passes on 10 targets in Week 4 for 66 yards and his second touchdown of the year. The 23-year-old former first-rounder nearly had a 44-yard TD early in the game on Sunday and did most of his damage in the first half before Arizona's offense sat on their lead after halftime. Look for Arizona to feature Harrison early and often in Week 6 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.

Ladd McConkey Scores First Touchdown in Week 5 Loss

Monday, October 6, 5:51 PM

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey finally reached the end zone on Sunday, catching five of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the team's 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders. It was a much-needed bounce-back after last week's poor performance, demonstrating that he can be trusted again in short-yardage and red-zone situations. He also had a 57-yard punt return touchdown called back by a penalty, one of 10 penalties that disrupted L.A.'s rhythm all day. With rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) placed on IR, the Chargers might need to rely more on their receivers, and McConkey's dependable hands could earn him more targets against a vulnerable Miami Dolphins secondary in Week 6.
