Marvin Mims Jr. Returns to Practice Monday

Tuesday, September 2, 12:24 AM

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (groin) returned to practice on Monday, as expected. This falls in line with previous comments from head coach Sean Payton, who said Mims' groin injury was minor and that he would practice on Labor Day. Fans and fantasy managers can exhale a sigh of relief as the Broncos' projected No. 2 receiver appears to be healthy in time for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. He's looking to build on an impressive second season in which he totaled 39 receptions, 503 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns, as well as 42 rushing yards and 602 total return yards. Without injuries and bye weeks hitting fantasy managers in full force yet, there isn't much of a need to get Mims into your starting lineups yet. However, if the 23-year-old explodes early or managers start to deal with gaps in their lineups, he'll become an intriguing WR3/FLEX option.

Jayden Reed Dealing with Jones Fracture in Left Foot

Thursday, August 28, 8:11 AM

According to Jason Wilde, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (foot) has been diagnosed with a Jones fracture. While this type of fracture is common in athletics, it typically requires surgery. However, the Packers wideout has "no interest" in this extended timeline and plans to play through the injury. Reed noted that he has been focusing on resting his foot to ensure he is ready for their season opener against the Detroit Lions. Throughout August, the wide receiver has been seen wearing a boot on his left foot. While he has recently returned to practice, fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old's workload to be closely monitored. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor this situation closely in case of a setback. If he were to miss time, rookie Matthew Golden and tight end Tucker Kraft would likely see the most significant increase in targets.
