After converting all of his attempts in his first two games of the season, Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater came back to earth somewhat in a Week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins. Prater badly missed a 39-yard field goal to the left, but he hit a game-sealing 48-yarder late in the fourth quarter and nailed all four extra-point tries. Having already cashed in on seven field goals and nine PATs, the 41-year-old ranks fifth among kickers in fantasy points this season. He'll enter a juicy matchup in Week 4 versus the New Orleans, who have thus far given up the third-most fantasy points to kickers. On the other hand, the Bills are averaging a robust 34 points per game. Their top-tier offense has given Prater plenty of opportunities this year, and that's unlikely to change on Sunday against perhaps the worst team the Bills will face this year.

Carolina Panthers kicker Ryan Fitzgerald has won the kicking job after the team released Matthew Wright, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. The undrafted rookie out of Florida State went 3-for-3 on field goals and also converted his lone extra point attempt through three preseason games. He enjoyed similar success at school, going 13-for-13 on field goals during his final collegiate campaign in 2024. Although the Panthers' offense is trending up, Fitzgerald lacks fantasy appeal at the moment, especially as a rookie with no track record kicking at the professional level.
