Matthew Stafford's Momentum Could Hit Pause Against 49ers

Thursday, October 2, 12:34 AM

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has plenty of momentum heading into a Week 5 clash against the San Francisco 49ers. He ranks as the overall QB12 in fantasy football this season and is coming off a spectacular outing that saw him rack up 375 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He fared quite well in Week 4, but he did so against the Indianapolis Colts, whose defense is nothing more than average this season. He'll face a tougher test Thursday night in the form of the 49ers, who have allowed the fifth-fewest passing yards and fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2025. Stafford's top-12 upside is undeniable, but he'll rank as a mid-to-high QB2 this week.

Sam Darnold Plays Clean Football as Seahawks Win on TNF

Friday, September 26, 12:18 AM

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold completed 18 of his 26 pass attempts for 242 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions during Thursday's Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He also took three sacks and rushed for 24 yards. The veteran's clean, turnover-free football helped keep his team in the lead for most of the game and was enough to seal the victory over a divisional opponent on primetime television. The 28-year-old has strung together three decent weeks, totaling five touchdowns and two turnovers during that span. He ranks as a mid-range QB2 heading into Week 5 against Tampa Bay.
