The Baltimore Ravens re-signed running back Melvin Gordon III to their practice squad on Friday and also elevated wide receiver Dan Chisena and linebacker Josh Ross from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster for Saturday's Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans. The Ravens waived Gordon earlier this week to make room for Dalvin Cook on the active, but he's now back in Baltimore as extra RB depth. Cook will serve as the No. 3 back behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill this weekend, while Gordon will most likely be a healthy scratch. Chisena, 26, was cut from the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad just under two weeks ago and now will give Baltimore extra receiver depth for the Divisional Round.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) has officially been placed on the non-football illness list according to Field Yates. The veteran back will now miss at least the first four games of the season leaving the backup role wide open. Carson Steele, the undrafted free agent, has made the most noise as the backup so far, but the signing of Samaje Perine becomes even more important as well. They would become a bigger part of the passing game than previously expected and could be underrated producers in PPR formats given the volume. Their opportunities are going to fluctuate with each game plan, so their value is a bit better in deeper leagues or dynasty formats in terms of Steele.
Still trying to decide between Gordon and Edwards-Helaire? Check on the latest news to make sure both players are active and healthy. Our PPR projections show that Melvin Gordon is projected to score 0.0 points this week while Clyde Edwards-Helaire is projected to score 0.0 points.
