Mike Evans to be Game-Time Decision in Week 4

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) will be a game-time decision for the upcoming Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos, per Vic Tafur. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed this news on Friday after Evans was listed as questionable to suit up. The veteran wideout is nursing a strained rib that he suffered last week. If active, there is some risk for fantasy managers with Evans not being completely healthy. Without Evans available, Deebo Samuel Sr., George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey would be the focal points on offense. It's a tough matchup for Evans, and he's banged up, so he's probably a safe WR3, assuming he's active.

DeVonta Smith Ruled Out Against Rams

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Brooks Kubena. Smith didn't practice this week after playing through the injury Monday night against Chicago, when he caught six passes for 65 yards. Philadelphia will now be without its most heavily targeted receiver. Smith has 27 targets, 19 receptions, 235 yards, and one touchdown through three games, leading the Eagles in each of the first three categories. Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon should both have more on their plates with Smith unavailable. Wicks has already been productive with 179 receiving yards through three games, while Lemon has seven catches on nine targets. Smith's Week 4 absence is official, with his availability beyond Sunday still something fantasy managers will need to monitor.
