San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) officially did not practice Thursday as the team gears up to face the Denver Broncos. Evans has now missed two straight practices after suffering a rib injury in Week 3's victory over the Arizona Cardinals. General manager John Lynch said that Evans will "make every attempt [to play] and we'll see where that goes." The team signed veteran Brandin Cooks from the practice squad as it prepares to be short-handed at wide receiver, with Evans not practicing and De'Zhaun Stribling (ankle), Demarcus Robinson (ankle), and Ricky Pearsall (knee) on injured reserve. While Evans has proven he doesn't need to practice to suit up for games, Friday's practice will likely determine his status for Week 4's matchup against Denver. If he can't suit up, Deebo Samuel Sr., Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing will have larger roles on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a great day at Washington with 10 catches on 14 targets for 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the team's 33-31 loss to the Commanders. The talented wide receiver out of Ohio State now has a touchdown in each of his team's first three games and multiple touchdowns in two of the three contests. Smith-Njigba backed up his three-TD performance in Week 2 against the Cardinals with this huge fantasy performance and is quickly establishing himself as one of the top fantasy receivers. The Seahawks had Sam Darnold back in the lineup at quarterback after missing most of two games with a glute injury. This should be a healthy connection all season long and Smith-Njigba should be an elite fantasy wide receiver.
