Mike Evans Undergoing MRI Exam

Tuesday, October 3, 10:59 AM

The belief is that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is dealing with a mild hamstring injury that he suffered in the Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints, according to sources. It bodes well for his return following the team's Week 5 bye, but he'll undergo an MRI exam on Tuesday to confirm it. Evans left the game in the second quarter on Sunday and never returned, finishing with three catches for 40 yards in the win. The 30-year-old was seen riding a stationary bike on the sidelines and was trying to return, but Tampa held him out as a precaution. The bye week comes at a perfect time for Evans and his fantasy managers, as he should be back out there in Week 6 against the visiting Detroit Lions on Sunday, Oct. 15.

Jordan Addison An Intriguing Week 3 Fantasy Option

Friday, September 22, 4:57 PM

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to keep his strong start to his rookie season going as the Vikings take on the Chargers in Week 3. Addison has found the end zone in each of his first two games this season, and he now draws a matchup with the Chargers' secondary that has looked abysmal, allowing a league-high 9.6 yards per attempt. Addison could do some damage on limited volume in this one, as he has caught just seven passes through two games, however, the USC product has turned it into 133 yards and two touchdowns. Addison will have to compete for targets with Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson, but quarterback Kirk Cousins has attempted 44 in both games this season. He is by no means a must-start, but fantasy managers can treat him as a FLEX option this week.
