Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (groin), who was questionable to play in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings, is officially active on Sunday. Sanders was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before not practicing on Friday. Raheem Blackshear is also a healthy scratch for this one, so it doesn't appear that Sanders' groin injury is of much concern. They will continue to roll with Sanders and Chuba Hubbard in their backfield, and Carolina could lean more heavily on their ground game this weekend with the return of rookie quarterback Bryce Young, who missed the Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury. Sanders has a great matchup and will be in play as an RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce rushed 24 times for 81 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. He also caught a 27-yard pass. After a slow start to the season, Pierce has come on quite strong. His hot stretch has occurred simultaneously with a two-game winning streak in which the Texans have scored 67 points. As Houston continues to play well, Pierce should be viewed as a steady RB2 option. The Texans face the Falcons next week.
