Parker Washington Hype Hits New High

Friday, August 7, 9:58 AM

There may not be a player who has garnered more hype this offseason than Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington. During Friday's scrimmage, Washington caught six passes from quarterback Trevor Lawrence, including two third-down grabs and a touchdown. He was Lawrence's favorite target on Friday and throughout camp. The former sixth-round pick had 847 yards and five touchdowns last season, but he emerged down the stretch, averaging 6.5 receptions for 113.5 yards and scoring three touchdowns in his final four games. He should play the slot role in Liam Coen's offense, a position that has been a strength in Coen's scheme. Players like Cooper Kupp and Chris Godwin Jr. have had monster seasons under Coen, and Washington will hope to do the same in 2026.

Brian Thomas Jr. "Playing Confident Right Now"

Saturday, August 8, 5:37 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was on the receiving end of one of Trevor Lawrence's three touchdown passes during the team's annual Teal and White scrimmage, and as he has done for much of the summer, head coach Liam Coen spoke glowingly of the third-year player following the 90-minute mock game. "He's playing confident right now," Coen told reporters; a sentiment reinforced by Thomas in his own media availability. "I knew I had to be super-intentional about everything I did, whether it's staying locked in on catching the ball, staying locked into the catch point, or just being in the best shape I could be." As part of one of the league's deepest groups of pass catchers, Thomas has fallen to WR31 by current ADP, but throughout a strong training camp, the former Pro Bowler has shown signs that he could return to the difference-making form of his rookie season, making him one of the higher-upside swings in the middle rounds of drafts.
