Puka Nacua News

Puka Nacua Will Not Practice on Wednesday

Wednesday, October 15, 3:11 PM

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that wide receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN. Nacua is being considered day-to-day after injuring his left ankle in the team's Week 6 win over the Baltimore Ravens, but he is firmly up in the air to play in London in Week 7 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fact that the 24-year-old isn't practicing on Wednesday is not a great sign, but he still has two days to get back on the field. It seems more likely that the Rams will hold the star wideout out of this weekend's game, with their bye coming in Week 8. We will continue to closely monitor Nacua's status, but fantasy managers should be preparing as if he won't suit up for their international game. If Nacua is out, Davante Adams will operate as the WR1, with Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell (hamstring) seeing an uptick in targets, too.

Xavier Worthy News

Xavier Worthy Ready To Face Lions In Week 6

Friday, October 10, 11:32 PM

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will face the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in Week 6. Worthy was listed as a DNP on Thursday after practicing in full on Wednesday, leaving his status for the weekend in doubt heading into Friday. The young receiver then logged a full practice on Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday night's game. Worthy had six catches for 42 yards in last week's 28-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The speedster led the team in targets but finished fourth in yardage, averaging just 7.0 yards per reception. Worthy has been battling shoulder and ankle injuries, but has still been the team's WR1 in the absence of Rashee Rice. With Rice still suspended until Week 7, Worthy should lead the team in targets against Detroit. The Lions have scored the most points in the league this season, and the Chiefs will need to score often to keep up. In a game with a 52.5 O/U, Worthy should have plenty of opportunities to score fantasy points. Worthy is ranked WR11 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him an WR1 this week.
