Quentin Johnston Leads Team in Targets Sunday Night

Monday, November 10, 5:37 PM

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston led the team with 10 targets on Sunday night, catching five passes for 42 yards in the 25-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although his stat line wasn't eye-popping, the volume is encouraging. His longest catch was only 15 yards, as a heavily pressured Justin Herbert mainly relied on quick throws behind a battered offensive line all night. In Week 11, Johnston faces a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the ninth-most passing yards and the fourth-most receiving touchdowns this season. They have also given up 31 receptions of 20 yards or more, which could benefit Johnston. With rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden (quad) day-to-day, Johnston could see more red-zone and deep-shot targets. He remains a boom-or-bust WR3/FLEX option with upside in this matchup.

Kayshon Boutte Draws Another Limited Tag on Tuesday

Tuesday, November 11, 5:35 PM

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) was listed as limited in Tuesday's practice for the second straight day this week with a hamstring injury. Boutte picked up the hamstring injury in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons and did not play in Sunday's victory on the road over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a good sign that he's at least on the field, but he's in danger of missing a second straight game on a short week this Thursday evening against the division-rival New York Jets. Despite missing last week, the third-year pass-catcher is second on the team with 431 receiving yards on his 23 receptions (31 targets) in nine games. Still, Boutte is up in the air to play this week, making him a risky weekly fantasy play. If he misses a second straight game, Mack Hollins, who had a 100-yard game in Week 10, will be worth considering as a flex option. Rookie Kyle Williams and DeMario Douglas will also have more opportunities again behind WR1 Stefon Diggs.
