Rashod Bateman Tough to Trust Without Starting Quarterback in Week 5

Saturday, October 4, 2:28 PM

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman had just one catch in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, bringing his season-long totals to 10 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets. Baltimore's passing game will be shorthanded in Week 5, as Cooper Rush will replace Lamar Jackson (hamstring) at quarterback in a tough matchup against the Houston Texans. Houston's defense has allowed the seventh-fewest passing yards (790) and second-fewest number of passing touchdowns (three) in the NFL. Bateman is typically reliant on downfield targets for production, which may be tough to come by with Rush under center. At best, Bateman profiles as a desperation deep-league flex option in Week 5.

DeMario Douglas News

DeMario Douglas' Inability to Capitalize on Targets Leaves Him Off Fantasy Radar

Saturday, September 27, 1:35 AM

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas is off the fantasy radar heading into Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old receiver has struggled to strengthen his rapport with Drake Maye this year, catching just five of his 13 targets for a measly 13 yards. Douglas has always been a short-yardage receiver with low touchdown totals, but his track record as a target hog seemed to give him some fantasy relevance in PPR drafts last month. That relevance has quickly slipped away as Douglas can now be dropped in most fantasy leagues. He's particularly unappealing this week as he faces the Panthers, who have surrendered the fewest catches, second-fewest receiving yards, and second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025.
