Rashod Bateman News

Rashod Bateman Could Benefit From Ravens Injuries

Monday, September 14, 6:03 AM

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was held without a target in Week 1's 41-23 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Despite the lack of production, Bateman remained a key part of the offense, playing 53 of 68 snaps (78%) and leading the team in routes run (27). Bateman could see a significant increase in volume in the next few weeks, given injuries to Zay Flowers (hamstring) and Ja'Kobi Lane (wrist). The Ravens offense looked prolific in Week 1, and with the New Orleans Saints on the schedule in Week 2, Bateman could have an opportunity to produce with Flowers and Lane uncertain to play. Fantasy managers should consider adding Bateman, as he could serve as the lead receiver for star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jalen McMillan News

Jalen McMillan a Full Practice Participant

Wednesday, September 16, 9:39 AM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan (knee) missed the team's season opener with a knee injury sustained in training camp, but he was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, according to head coach Todd Bowles. McMillan has struggled to stay on the field through his first three seasons, but his impact has been felt when healthy and available, finishing as a top-20 fantasy wide receiver in six of his last nine starts and cracking the top 12 three times in that stretch. Quarterback Baker Mayfield spread the ball around in a Week 1 loss to the Bengals, with five different players making at least three catches, so McMillan's ceiling could be capped upon his return. Still, he is a player to monitor if he can keep stringing together full practices ahead of a potential Week 2 debut against the Browns.
