Ray Davis Worth a Roster Spot in Dynasty?

Thursday, February 19, 1:50 PM

Buffalo Bills second-year running back Ray Davis saw his workload reduced drastically from year one to two, as the team finally gave James Cook the workhorse duties fantasy managers have been clamoring for for years. Cook saw the highest snap count of his career and obliterated his previous-high usage total, seeing a total of 348 opportunities on the way to his first career rushing title. Meanwhile, Davis saw his opportunities drop from 131 as a rookie to only 71 in year two. With Buffalo's offense still among the highest scoring in the league, Davis' value purely as a handcuff is enough to keep him rostered in deeper dynasty leagues. However, with Ty Johnson still working ahead of him in the passing game, he is by no means a must-hold for managers facing a roster crunch.

Dylan Laube To See More Touches Moving Forward

Tuesday, September 16, 7:07 PM

Las Vegas Raiders running back Dylan Laube could be in line for a slight uptick in playing time this week against the Washington Commanders. Laube logged just 18% of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers but managed to catch two passes for 17 yards, flashing the receiving skills that made him a standout in college. Head coach Pete Carroll suggested the team may work him in more on offense after limiting him almost exclusively to special teams in Week 1. For now, Laube remains buried on the depth chart behind Ashton Jeanty and Zamir White, leaving him without any immediate fantasy value. Still, the fact that the Raiders are looking to carve out a role for him in the passing game is a positive sign for his long-term outlook.
