Ray-Ray McCloud III Catches Four Passes To Close Out Productive Season

Sunday, January 5, 11:05 PM

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III hauled in four of seven targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 44-38 overtime loss to the Panthers, ending their season. While he found the end zone just once all year, the performance caps off a productive campaign for the 28-year-old. The sixth-year pro set career highs (by a wide margin) with 87 targets, 62 catches, and 686 receiving yards. With Michael Penix Jr. looking like a competent passer, the Falcons offense could take a step forward next season. McCloud III should maintain some appeal in PPR leagues as the number three option behind Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

KaVontae Turpin To Receive Second-Round Tender

Monday, March 3, 6:33 PM

Dallas Cowboys restricted free-agent wide receiver/kick returner KaVontae Turpin is expected to receive a second-round tender ($5.34 million) from the team, according to the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins. Meanwhile, unrestricted free agents Carl Lawson and Chauncey Golston could walk this offseason. The Cowboys would like to bring back unrestricted free agents Bryan Anger and Trent Sieg. The move to give Turpin a second-round tender likely means that he'll be back with Dallas in 2025 after he made his second Pro Bowl in 2024 as a kick returner. The 28-year-old finished last year with 904 kickoff-return yards while being the only player in the NFL to return both a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns. On offense, he wasn't a big factor, catching 31 of his 52 targets for 420 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (two starts).
