Russell Wilson Listed As Questionable For Week 3, Justin Fields Set To Start

Friday, September 20, 4:02 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, which puts Justin Fields in line to start his third-straight game for the Steel City. Wilson was initially named the team's starting QB but suffered a calf injury before the opening week, which pushed Fields up the depth chart. Fields has led the Steelers to two straight victories, averaging 136.5 passing yards and 42.0 rushing yards per game. Even though Fields is not lighting up the scoreboard, he is putting the Steelers in a position to win games. For the time being, fantasy managers should expect the former first-round pick to continue to be the No. 1 QB in Pittsburgh and be viewed as a high-QB2 given his rushing ability.

Allen Robinson II Headed To Detroit

Wednesday, August 28, 4:30 PM

Free agent wide receiver Allen Robinson II is signing with the Detroit Lions, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. Robinson was recently cut by the New York Giants earlier this week. The 31-year-old has struggled over the past few seasons after posting back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in 2019 and 2020. Since then, the Penn State product has averaged just 343 receiving yards each season, and will now look to join his fourth team in four years. Currently, the Lions have two wide receivers on the injured reserve, Tre'Quan Smith (undisclosed) and Antoine Green (concussion), which could open the door for the veteran to serve in a depth role throughout the season occasionally. For now, fantasy managers should feel comfortable leaving Robinson on their waiver wire.
