Sam LaPorta News

Sam LaPorta a Buy-Low Target Coming Off of Injury

Monday, April 13, 6:28 PM

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (back) missed the second half of the 2025 season due to a herniated disc, giving managers a prime opportunity to buy low in dynasty leagues this offseason. The 25-year-old was averaging 11.8 fantasy points per game when healthy, contributing 40 catches for 489 yards and three touchdowns through nine weeks. He has finished each of his three NFL seasons with at least 10.9 fantasy points per game, offering consistency as a mid-range TE1 in fantasy football. However, LaPorta's back injury has skewed his price tag in dynasty leagues, where he's being priced as more of a low-end TE1 in trade talks. For tight end-needy dynasty managers, this is the perfect opportunity to buy low on LaPorta and get a weekly contributor. Not only has he been productive in the past, but he'll continue to operate in a Lions offense that should be good for a long time. Jared Goff has shown that he can support big fantasy outputs from Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and LaPorta all at once. The Iowa product remains a productive weapon in a successful offense. He's one of the most intriguing buy-low options at the tight end position in dynasty leagues this offseason.

Terrance Ferguson News

Terrance Ferguson a Sneaky Dynasty Buy?

Thursday, March 26, 5:18 PM

Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson is trending up in dynasty leagues ahead of the 2026 season. On the surface, managers may be hesitant to buy Ferguson in dynasty leagues. After all, Colby Parkinson had a strong 2025 campaign, and the team unexpectedly re-signed Tyler Higbee. The two combined for 68 catches, 689 yards, and 11 touchdowns, leaving very few targets to be distributed to other members of the position group. However, taking a closer look at this offense reveals a clear path to production for Ferguson. Parkinson is due for significant touchdown regression and has not previously shown that he can be a true No. 1 tight end. Meanwhile, Higbee is getting older and becoming injury-prone after missing 21 games over the last two seasons. That opens the door for Ferguson, who had five catches, 87 yards, and two touchdowns over his final two games as a rookie in 2025. Year 2 is a common time for tight ends to break out, and Ferguson has significant draft capital attached to him as a former second-round pick. We wouldn't be surprised if the Oregon product makes a tremendous leap given his strong finish to 2025, his draft capital, and his teammates' projected downturns.
