Sam LaPorta Looking to Build on Encouraging Week 1 Showing Heading into Week 2

Friday, September 12, 1:31 PM

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta was one of the few Lions who delivered a decent fantasy performance in Week 1, hauling in six of his nine targets for 79 yards against the Green Bay Packers. LaPorta will now face the Chicago Bears in Week 2, a team he has scored three touchdowns against in four career games played. Chicago allowed just three catches and 15 yards to Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson in Week 1. LaPorta's Lions have health and productivity questions along their offensive line, but that could actually help LaPorta's outlook by forcing Jared Goff to target the short and intermediate areas of the field more often. LaPorta is a must-start fantasy tight end against Chicago in Week 2.

Trey McBride News

Trey McBride Eyes Another Elite Season, Starting Against Saints

Saturday, September 6, 11:05 AM

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has improved his numbers each year over the first three seasons of his career. Last season, he finished with 111 receptions for 1,146 yards and two touchdowns on 147 targets. He finished as the TE2, despite having the fewest touchdowns among the top 11 at his position. A positive regression seems to be plausible when it comes to that department, and given good health, he should be able to produce 100 catches and over a thousand yards yet again. In Week 1, RotoBaller has him projected to score 13.1 fantasy points, which would leave him second to only Brock Bowers. As long as he's on the field, McBride is a must-start in all fantasy formats.
