Samaje Perine More Of A Stash Than A Start In Week 4

Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 4. After getting eight touches on offense in the season opener, Perine has yet to touch the ball more than four times in any game. The veteran back put up just 14 total yards on four touches in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, marking his worst fantasy performance of the year. Perine will look to bounce back in a high-scoring game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. The Jaguars defense could be a difficult matchup for Perine given their strong play so far this season and his limited role in the offense. Perine will not have a lot of chances to make an impact in this week's contest and the Jaguars may be able to stifle any opportunities he does get. Perine is ranked RB55 in our RotoBaller Week 4 PPR rankings, making him a very low-end option at running back this week. Fantasy managers should view Perine as more of a handcuff/stash candidate rather than a start-worthy back.

Braelon Allen Gets Another Chance to Lead Jets Backfield

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen didn't have much to work with against Chicago, but he still managed 59 rushing yards on 14 carries in his first start of the season. The Jets ran only 32 offensive plays, limiting Allen's opportunities, although he handled every running back carry and caught two passes for eight yards. With Breece Hall (quad) officially ruled out again, Allen is expected to lead the backfield Sunday against Cleveland. The Browns have generated plenty of pressure on opposing quarterbacks, but their defensive line will be missing Mason Graham, Mike Hall Jr., and Kalia Davis. Those absences could create some opportunities for Allen to find running room. RotoBaller has him at RB21 in its Saturday rankings, putting him in the RB2 conversation despite New York's offensive struggles. Isaiah Davis could still see some work, but Allen should get another chance to handle a substantial workload.
