The Houston Texans have traded wide receiver John Metchie III and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for tight end Harrison Bryant and a 2026 fifth-round pick. Metchie, a former second-round pick, is entering his third season after missing his entire rookie year while battling leukemia. The 25-year-old receiver struggled to earn a consistent role in the Texans' passing game, finishing his time in Houston with 40 receptions for 412 yards and one touchdown in 29 games.
