Travis Homer Climbing to Second Spot on Depth Chart

Sunday, November 2, 9:17 AM

Chicago Bears running back Travis Homer is expected to operate as the backup to Kyle Monangai after the team ruled out D'Andre Swift (groin) and Roschon Johnson (back). Homer spent the first six weeks of the season on injured reserve, and he has not yet registered an offensive snap in his two games since returning. He has played exclusively on special teams so far, but that should change this week. Not only will he handle some offensive snaps, but he'll likely see at least a handful of touches as the Bears look to take some of the workload off Monangai. It's unlikely we'll see Homer have fantasy relevance this week, but we'll certainly still hear his name called from time to time.

Kimani Vidal Active to Lead Backfield in Week 18

Sunday, January 4, 4:00 PM

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal (neck) is officially active for Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Denver Broncos. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction after logging back-to-back full practices. The 24-year-old returns from a one-game absence and is expected to lead Los Angeles' backfield with rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) sidelined. With that being said, we expect fellow running back Hassan Haskins to carve out a role, too. There's some uncertainty about how the Chargers will fare with Trey Lance quarterbacking the offense against a strong Broncos defense. If the Bolts struggle to move the ball on Sunday, we could see Vidal drop to the low-end RB3/flex tier.
