New York Jets wide receiver Tyler Johnson is slated to command an elevated workload in this Sunday's home matchup with the Buffalo Bills. Johnson - like many of New York's receiving options - picked up minimal work in last weekend's loss to the Steelers. He pulled in both looks for 31 yards, but was a distant third in snapshare (33) behind teammates Garrett Wilson (64) and Josh Reynolds (hamstring [62]). Reynolds will miss Week 2's meeting with Buffalo, meaning Johnson should see an uptick in snaps. Even with the projected increase in work, the University of Minnesota product could fall victim to his team's desire to establish the run. Quarterback Justin Fields attempted only 22 passes in Week 1, and the Baltimore Ravens put up 40 points on Buffalo while Lamar Jackson threw it just 19 times. Johnson is RotoBaller's PPR WR137 in this week's ranks.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Panthers' sixth-round pick was rumored to be an up-and-coming piece in the Carolina offense, with some speculation that he could have an immediate role in Week 1. Instead, his NFL debut will have to wait at least one more week. Dalevon Campbell is also inactive on Sunday, leaving the Panthers with five active receivers on gameday.
Still trying to decide between Johnson and Horn Jr.? Check on the latest news to make sure both players are active and healthy. Our PPR projections show that Tyler Johnson is projected to score 2.2 points this week while Jimmy Horn Jr. is projected to score 0.0 points.
