Tyquan Thornton News
Saturday, August 8, 9:55 AM
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton is in line for more snaps in 2026, but that alone does not solve the fantasy problem. He caught only 19 of 37 targets last season, although those receptions went for 438 yards and three touchdowns. Thornton did most of that damage early, posting 13 catches for 272 yards and all three scores through Week 5. He managed just six receptions for 166 yards over his final nine appearances. The big-play ability is real. Kansas City credited him with a team-high eight catches of at least 25 yards, and Thornton is still viewed as part of the starting group in three-receiver sets. The volume remains the problem. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy sit ahead of him for targets when healthy, while Travis Kelce is still a major part of the passing game. RotoBaller ranks Thornton WR113 in its latest published PPR wide receiver rankings. That makes him a reasonable deep-league flier and a better fit for best ball, where one long touchdown can matter more. In ordinary redraft leagues, Thornton needs more targets before he becomes a player fantasy managers can trust.

Ja'Kobi Lane News
Saturday, August 15, 7:15 PM
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane caught all three of his targets for 38 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's preseason contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lane made quite an impression in his pro debut, catching every pass thrown his way and adding six points with a trip to the end zone. The third-round pick out of USC continues to boost his stock with an impressive training camp and start to the preseason. He still has two more preseason games ahead of him, but as it stands, Lane could be a sneaky candidate for the No. 2 receiver role behind Zay Flowers in Baltimore. After all, Rashod Bateman has left a lot to be desired through his first five seasons, and Devontez Walker remains lower in the pecking order despite a solid training camp. Lane is an intriguing buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him get drafted in deeper redraft leagues, too. We expect the Ravens to pass more in 2026, and Lane could be a key part of the offensive attack.
