Tyrod Taylor's Second Stint as Starter Opens with Favorable Matchup

Wednesday, November 19, 11:48 PM

New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor was named the starter over Justin Fields for Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. While Taylor has a pair of turnovers in each of his last two games, he could benefit from this week's matchup. Baltimore has allowed the 12th-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks in 2025, and the Jets are 13.5-point underdogs, which means Taylor should have to throw the ball often. He'll benefit from increased passing volume, as well as the potential for garbage-time scoring if Baltimore takes a massive lead as expected. Plus, Taylor has some rushing upside, as he tallied 48 rushing yards in his lone start earlier this season. The dismal state of the Jets' offense is hard to ignore, and managers are right to be worried about Taylor's weapons with Garrett Wilson (knee) sidelined. However, this week's game script and matchup could put Taylor into the low-end QB2 tier, at least temporarily.

Josh Allen News

Josh Allen Matchup Proof Heading into Week 12

Wednesday, November 19, 11:45 PM

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is coming off a monster performance in last Sunday's 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He threw for 317 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 40 yards on six rushing attempts and three more scores versus the Bucs. Allen will look to keep things rolling against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Houston's defense is third-best in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game at 174, but Allen's ability to beat them with his feet gives him a high floor. The Texans' defense has held opponents to 20-or-fewer points in all but two matchups this season, to keep their struggling offense in ballgames. However, Allen's MVP-caliber season continues, and he remains a must-start and comes in as the second-ranked quarterback heading into Week 12 in the latest RotoBaller rankings.
