Wil Lutz Needs More Opportunities Entering Week 3

Through two games, Denver Broncos kicker Will Lutz has converted all three of his field goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries. So, the fact that he is RotoBaller's 24th-ranked kicker in Week 3 isn't for lack of success, but rather lack of opportunity. Lutz is projected to score just seven fantasy points against the Los Angeles Rams this week. San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro converted two of three field goal attempts against the Rams in Week 1, while Los Angeles held the New York Giants to field goals twice, with kicker Dominic Zvada making both attempts, including one from 52 yards out.

Andy Borregales a Riskier Play Despite High-Scoring Potential

New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales has delivered two relatively lackluster fantasy performances so far this season, and fantasy managers should be prepared for that trend to continue against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. Borregales went 2-for-2 on extra points and 2-for-3 on field goals (including one made from 40+ yards) last week, with the missed kick holding him back from achieving one of the stronger fantasy finishes last week. Now, he heads into a matchup against the Jaguars, who have allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers in 2026. There is shootout potential in this game, so perhaps Borregales benefits from the high-scoring nature, but he's still a significant risk. Fantasy managers can find other kickers with higher and more reliable upside for Week 3.
