Zach Charbonnet Might Not Return Until Midseason

Wednesday, May 27, 6:03 PM

The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta suggests that Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) might not realistically be able to return in 2026 until midseason after tearing his ACL in the team's Divisional Round win over the division-rival San Francisco 49ers just over four months ago. The 25-year-old will absolutely miss the start of the 2026 regular-season opener, which makes him an obvious candidate to begin the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list, sidelining him for at least the first four games. Seattle let Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III walk in free agency to the Kansas City Chiefs, but they added Emanuel Wilson in free agency and selected former Notre Dame back Jadarian Price in April's rookie draft. With Price a real threat to handle significant touches right away in his first NFL season and because of his serious knee injury, Charbonnet's redraft fantasy stock has taken a big hit. He's currently ranked as RotoBaller's No. 57 RB. Charb proved last year that he was ready to take on a bigger role in Seattle, but he may not get back to that level of production until 2027.

Kaleb Johnson News

Does Kaleb Johnson Still Carry Dynasty Buy-Low Appeal?

Wednesday, April 22, 7:50 AM

A third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson failed to carve out a role in his team's offense as a rookie. Across 10 games played, the 22-year-old recorded just 28 carries for 69 yards. He spent the year buried on the Steelers' running back depth chart behind Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell. While Gainwell departed Pittsburgh in free agency, the team brought in former Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle to replace him. As a result, Johnson appears to remain stuck in the RB3 role in Pittsburgh heading into 2026. While Johnson showed dynasty managers little reason for optimism in 2025, there would be little point in selling him now when his value is at its lowest. Johnson has the advantage of working with an entirely new Steelers coaching staff in 2026, which could provide him with the fresh start he needs. If Johnson can be had for pennies on the dollar, deep-league dynasty managers may want to consider buying very low on him.
