Fantasy Football Bold Predictions Week 6
We're back with more bold predictions for you guys! We took the last week off but we had some great performances from quite a few players in the NFL! Kirk Cousins, aka "Kirko-Chains," lit up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense for 509 passing yards! Packers tight end Tucker Kraft put the tight) position back on the map with his 88 yards and two touchdown performance against the Los Angeles Rams.
Heading into a new week of football brings new possibilities. This week's matchups could hold some incredible games and performances so to get back into the swing of things with some calls I'm shooting for in Week 6.
Jayden Daniels throws for 300 yards against the Ravens
This rookie quarterback has been on a roll this season under Kliff Kingsbury and I have to admit that it's been impressive to see. The dynamic dual-threat quarterback is averaging just 227 yards per game heading into Week 6's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, but this could be the chance to put up some big passing numbers this week. The Ravens are allowing the second-most passing yards on defense, currently sitting at 1,401 in total. Daniels could make a big statement by taking out one of the marquee teams in the league by beating the Ravens and having a big passing day.
Deshaun Watson throws for 250+ and two touchdowns vs. PHI
I'm giving Deshaun Watson one more chance to show me that he can still be a decent quarterback in the NFL. After his repeatedly poor performances over the last five weeks, the chants for backup quarterback Jamies Winston are getting louder. But the Browns get a poor-performing Eagles defense that's nearly two touchdowns per game through the air. If the Browns want to keep their season alive, they'll have to get the win this week and score points. Field goals simply won't cut it with an Eagles team that can be dangerous if you let them hang around.
Jakobi Meyers sees 10 targets against the Pittsburgh Steelers
Davante Adams continues to miss games because of a "hamstring injury" but multiple reports state that the Raiders wide receiver wants to be traded. Until then, Jakobi Meyers steps in as the de-facto number-one receiver for the Raiders. The Raiders also made a quarterback switch, benching Gardner Minshew for Aidan O'Connell. O'Connell has shown the ability to get the ball to his main guys and in a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he'll need to do just that. Meyers is averaging 7.2 targets per game this season and 9.3 over his last three games. O'Connell averaged just over 31 pass attempts in 2023. This feels more attainable even against a tough Steelers defense.
Xavier Legette scores a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons
Since Andy Dalton has taken over at the Panthers quarterback position, Legette has had an up-and-down stretch. Legette scored 19.6 fantasy points against the Cincinnati Bengals but came right back down to Earth after a shoulder injury knocked him out of the game against the Chicago Bears. In a divisional battle this week against the Atlanta Falcons and how high-powdered the Falcons' offense can be, this is another game where Dalton and the Panthers will need to score points. Xavier Legette already has a touchdown catch and will look to add to his total this week. The Falcons are tied with four other teams that have given up six passing touchdowns heading into Week 6.
Breece Hall breaks out of two game funk with 20+ carries in Week 6
Breece Hall has been in the doghouse over the last two games behind the poor offensive playcalling of Nathaniel Hackett. But that will change going forward as Hackett has been demoted by new interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich and promoted Todd Downing to offensive coordinator. Downing was the offensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans in 2021 when Derrick Henry was there. Hopefully, we can get that kind of magic to resurge Breece Hall for the rest of the season. Hall is averaging just 1.4 yards per attempt over his last two games. The Buffalo Bills are on the docket this week, allowing 5.2 yards per attempt (and got smoked by Derrick Henry and the Ravens). It certainly would be nice to have something like that happen for Breece Hall. My fantasy teams would be forever grateful.
