DraftKings Picks for Week Seven

Another week of football is upon us, with Week Six action seeing a few division matchups and plenty of potentially high-scoring games.

We had a few big trades this week that will also shake some things up, but we may have to wait a week or two to see how they really will affect the impacted teams.

Other than that, our goal is to find some players that will help you win some cash this week, so let's dive into Week Seven of DraftKings Daily Fantasy.

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers) - $6900 vs HOU

Jordan Love has tossed 10 touchdowns in three games since returning from a knee injury, and this week gets another plus matchup with the Texans coming into town.

The Texans have not been great at stopping the pass, and the Texans' quarterback CJ Stroud has shown that he has the talent and weapons to put up points.  This game isn't the highest over/under of the week, but I expect it to be a fun one to watch.

Love also has gotten his receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs back after short absences, and the emergence of Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft has made this a very dangerous offense.

Love has a great opportunity to toss multiple touchdowns in this one, especially if Stroud and company can move the ball against the inconsistent GB defense.

Andy Dalton (Carolina Panthers ) - $5200 @ WAS

I didn't really want to dip back into the Andy Dalton well, but as one of the cheapest options with the best matchup on paper, it was hard not to include him.

Dalton started off with a bang but has since struggled in losses to the Bears and Falcons, although Chicago's defense has looked much better this season so maybe he gets a pass on that one.

This game has one of the higher point totals at 51.5, so even though Washington is 9.5 point favorites, Vegas still expects the Panthers to put up some points.

At only $5200, Dalton is a solid option in a plus matchup.

Running Backs

Joe Mixon (Houston Texans) - $7200 @ GB

I know I already mentioned the Texans above, but since I went with Jordan Love instead of Stroud, I figured I'd go with Joe Mixon.

Mixon returned last week against the Patriots (after missing three games) and rushed 13 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.  He also caught two passes for 30 yards and an additional touchdown.

If there is a way to beat Green Bay's defense, it's been through the run game in recent years, so this matchup is relatively nice for Mixon, who will be another week removed from the injury.

Mixon should get a majority of the carries for the Texans and has a good chance to score in this one.

De'Von Achane (Miami Dolphins) - $6700 @ IND

De'Von Achane exited Week Five early with a concussion but thankfully had a Bye week to recover.  He already fully practiced Wednesday, so as long as no symptoms pop up, he should be good to go against Indianapolis.

Miami has struggled mightily without Tua, but one can only hope the Dolphins used the extra week to get an actual game plan together.  You'd think with so much speed and talent they could still be dangerous without Tua, but they have yet to show that.

Achane has been dynamic when given the chance, so lets' hope that HC Mike McDaniels comes up with a good game plan to beat the Colts, who have struggled to stop the run so far this season.

Brian Robinson Jr. (Washington Commanders) - $6400 vs CAR

I couldn't leave out a Washington player with such a good matchup, so Brian Robinson Jr gets the mention this week.

Robinson missed last week with an injury, and Austin Ekeler failed to really impress as the starter.  It seems like Robinson is ready to go, and gets the league's worst run defense: Carolina.  The Panthers rank dead last in run defense, so Robinson (and Jayden Daniels) are probably excited for this matchup.

Robinson has eclipsed the 100-yard mark twice and has five touchdowns through five games.  He has a good chance to hit both of those this week.

Wide Receivers

Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings) - $8500 vs DET

There were a ton of great options for expensive WR this week, with Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, and Amon Ra St. Brown all having intriguing matchups.

I went with Jefferson, who takes on ARSB and the Detroit Lions this week in Minnesota. Now I went with Jefferson because he both seems to be the most consistent scorer of the three WRs I mentioned, and Minnesota has the home-field advantage as well.

Jefferson saw 14 targets in Week Five, catching six of them for 92 yards.  It was his first game without a touchdown this season.  Previously he scored in every game, and this could be a perfect matchup to get back on the scoring train.

Two of the higher-powered offenses are meeting in this one, so hopefully we see a lot of big plays and lots of passing touchdowns.

Diontae Johnson (Carolina Panthers) - $6600 @ WAS

Diontae Johnson has played through an ankle injury over the past few weeks, but still managed to put up 78 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta last week.

He's another week removed from the injury and faces a porous Washington defense.  Now I often pair my QB with a WR, but Jordan Love and the Green Bay receivers are kind of tough to predict, so I'd go with the cheaper Carolina duo.

Johnson has double-digit targets in three of his last four games, and that should continue as Dalton and the Panthers try and keep up with the rookie QB sensation Jayden Daniels.

Wan'Dale Robinson (New York Giants) - $6100 vs PHI

I like Wan'Dale Robinson in DFS these days because he has been a relatively safe floor so far this season in PPR scoring.

Robinson is seeing about 10 targets a game, catching on average six passes per game over the season.  The yardage isn't quite there yet, but his utilization and opportunities haven't wavered, even with Malik Nabers in or out of the lineup.

This week the Giants get the Eagles, a team that has weirdly struggled to stop the pass.  Now it is the Giants, and it is Daniel Jones, but I do expect them to put up a decent fight against their Division foes.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (Kansas City Chiefs) - $4000 @ SF

JuJu Smith-Schuster went from nothing to boom last week, catching seven of eight targets for 130 yards against a tougher Saints' defense in Week 5.  The Chiefs were on Bye last week, giving them even more opportunity to build the offense around Schuster.

Now I like this option mostly due to the cost.  At only $4000, JuJu is one of the cheapest, best options as a WR1/WR2 on a pass-happy team.  With this game potentially being high-scoring, Mahomes will have to throw a lot (hopefully...I'm sick of these boring games) and JuJu will of course benefit from that.

The 49ers haven't been their usual tough defense, but both the Chiefs and the 49ers have been good at stopping the run and bad at defending the pass, so I could see this one becoming a throw-fest.

Tight Ends

George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers) - $6000 vs KC

Kelce vs Kittle is an interesting battle this week, but I went with the more consistent (crazy right?) George Kittle.

Kittle has been on fire the last three weeks, averaging seven catches a game and scoring four touchdowns.  With the running game ailing (Mason is banged up now too), Kittle has been more involved and has looked good doing so.

The Chiefs currently rank dead last in defense against Tight Ends, so it appears as though Kittle is set up for a big day.  Even if he doesn't get a ton of yardage, his scoring ability makes him one of the best TE starts you can have right now.

David Njoku (Cleveland Browns) - $4100 vs CIN

So I don't think the Browns will do very well against Cincinnati this week (or any team here on out), but someone has to catch the ball there, and frankly Njoku is probably the best option left.

Amari Cooper was shipped off to the Bills, making Njoku, Elijah Moore, and Jerry Jeudy as the main pass-catchers remaining...oofda.

Njoku had seven targets last week, catching five passes for 31 yards in a defensive battle against Philadelphia.  I have to imagine he will see similar, if not a few more targets this week as Watson tries to keep up with the high-powered pass offense of the Bengals.

Defense

Bengals - $3300 @ CLE

Cleveland just shipped their...arguably best offensive piece to the Bills this week, and Running Back Jerome Ford is probably not going to be healthy enough yet to play.  The Browns have started to bring back Nick Chubb, but after a gruesome knee injury, who knows if he will ever be back to true form.  Add to that it would be his first game in nearly a year and we can assume he won't be entirely efficient.

The Browns seem to be in free-fall once again and DeShaun Watson has looked bad, so figure that the Bengals' defense should put up some good fantasy points.
