FanDuel Picks for Week 10 NFL DFS
We are officially on to Week 10 and the second half of the NFL regular season. We are back to a bit of a lighter slate with 11 games on the FanDuel main slate, which as usual contains the Sunday night game, which this week will be the Lions at the Texans. It’s also a relatively conservative slate in terms of implied point totals, with the 49ers at Buccaneers (50.5) and the Sunday night game (48.5) being the only two games with an implied total above 48. You’ll want to make sure you get exposure to both of those games, but there are plenty of other great plays from all around the league. Here are my favorite plays for week 10 FanDuel DFS.
Quarterbacks
Josh Allen - BUF @ IND ($9200)
I like to pay up at quarterback when I can, and with Lamar Jackson playing Thursday night this week, it leaves the top spot on my list to someone else for once. Josh Allen began the year a bit inconsistent but has been very solid over the past month, topping 20 fantasy points in four straight weeks. Of course, you want more than that when you pay $9200 for him, but he does have two weeks on this season with 30+ points, too. He gets a pretty good matchup against the Colts, and he has the safest floor and one of the highest ceilings on the slate. You’ll have plenty of options to stack him with between Shakir, Cooper, and Kincaid, and none of those guys will break your bank.
Brock Purdy - SF @ TB ($8100)
If you want to save some money at quarterback, Brock Purdy is who you should be looking at. It should be a high-scoring game against the Buccaneers, as the implied game total is 50.5, and 28.5 of those are projected to be from San Francisco. Purdy had his best week of the year last week with 26 points, and I expect him to carry that momentum into week 10. With Christian McCaffery expected to make his season debut, it should improve what is already a highly efficient offense, no doubt improving Purdy’s value from here on out.
Other Plays: Jalen Hurts ($9400), Jayden Daniels ($8400)
Running Backs
Alvin Kamara - ATL @ NO ($8500)
Last week, Alvin Kamara had a whopping 29 carries and 6 catches on 9 targets, totaling 215 total yards. That is as good of usage as you can hope for, yet for whatever reason, his price dropped from $8800 last week to $8500 this week. I’m certainly not complaining, and will enjoy plugging him back in my lineups in a close game against the Falcons where the Saints will need to rely on their best offensive weapon if they want to win. The only running back I like more than him from a projected points perspective is Saquon Barkley, but he is $1100 more expensive.
J.K. Dobbins - TEN @ LAC ($7300)
Going down another tier in price, I really like J.K Dobbins as a value play. The Titans have looked abysmal lately, and Dobbins gets to face them in Los Angeles in a game where the Chargers are favored to win by 7.5. The game plan should be run, run, and run some more, and Dobbins is already coming off of a week where scored 23.5 fantasy points. He is consistently seeing about 15 carries and a handful of targets every week, and I expect that usage to be up this week. This is a great spot to save money if you want to pay up at another position.
Other Plays: Saquon Barkley ($9600), Christian McCaffrey ($9400), Breece Hall ($8200)
Wide Receivers
Garrett Wilson - NYJ @ ARI ($7900)
Everyone was worried about Garrett Wilson following the Davante Adams trade, but he still managed to score 25.5 fantasy points after gaining 10 targets and 9 catches last week, including an acrobatic one-handed grab in the end zone that drew comparisons to Odell Beckham. He truly is one of the top wide receivers in the game based on talent, and a $7900 price tag is very favorable for someone with that kind of skill. Adams will still take some targets away from him, but he doesn’t need to be the clear-cut alpha in the offense to pay off his price tag.
DeAndre Hopkins - DEN @ KC ($6000)
DeAndre Hopkins broke out with his new team last week, catching 8 passes for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kelce is still a major part of the offense too, but $6000 is just too cheap for Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver. It’s important to remember that Hopkins himself was one of the best wide receivers in the entire NFL not too long ago, and it’s hard to imagine him not returning value at such a low price.
Calvin Ridley - TEN @ LAC ($5800)
Speaking of low prices, Calvin Ridley is even cheaper at just $5800. It’s true that he’s only had two good games all season, but both of them have been very good, at 22 and 20 points, respectively. You don’t have to pay too much for a chance at that upside, and he should see plenty of targets in a game that they are expected to be heavily trailing in. With Hopkins gone, he looks like a lock for at least 8 targets, which is plenty to pay off the price tag. Who knows, he might get 15 targets like he did two weeks ago and win you a GPP.
Other Plays: Justin Jefferson ($9500), Deebo Samuel ($8300), Davante Adams ($7600)
Tight Ends
Travis Kelce - DEN @ KC ($7000)
While Hopkins may be the top wide receiver in the offense, Kelce is the top “receiver” in general. Over the past two weeks, he has seen 28 targets, catching 24 of them for 190 yards and a touchdown. He looks to continue that type of dominance this week, and there’s no reason to think he can’t. Tight end is so random that I often just like to spread out my exposure with the guys with the most upside, and Kelce is one of those guys this week. It’s an added bonus that he is a $1000 discount compared to George Kittle.
Cade Otton - SF @ TB ($6400)
With the Buccaneers receiving corps decimated by injury, Cade Otton has stepped up in a huge way. He has seen double-digit targets in three straight weeks, and in those weeks he has averaged 86 yards per game and has scored 3 total touchdowns. He’s seeing an elite target share and putting up elite numbers, along with getting plenty of red zone targets. There’s nothing to dislike about him, and now will remain the top target in the offense in the highest-projected scoring game on the slate. Tampa Bay will be forced to throw all day to stay competitive, potentially setting up Otton for his best game all year, which is saying a lot after he just scored 24 points two weeks ago.
Other Plays: George Kittle ($8000), Evan Engram ($6200)
Defenses
Expensive - Los Angeles Chargers vs TEN ($4800)
Mid-Priced - Atlanta Falcons at NO ($4300)
Cheap - Washington Commanders vs PIT ($3500)
