FanDuel Picks for Week 11 NFL DFS
Week 11 is here, and it brings a 12-game DFS main slate on FanDuel. Scoring looks like it could be surprisingly down this week, at least according to Vegas, with the Ravens at Steelers and their 48.5 projected game total being the only game that is expected to go over 48 points. Still, there are tons of exciting games to watch from a fantasy perspective, including the Sunday night faceoff between the Bengals and the Chargers. FanDuel is unique in the fact that they include the Sunday night game on their main slate, and I will personally have a ton of exposure to the night game this week. Here are my top DFS plays at each position for week 11 on FanDuel.
Quarterbacks
Josh Allen - KC @ BUF ($8800)
In one of the most anticipated games on the slate, we get a face-off between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. For fantasy purposes, there’s no question which one of them you’ll want in your lineup, with Allen averaging 20.63 fantasy points per game. This game should be highly competitive and fast-paced, an environment that Allen thrives in. He has topped 20 points in five straight weeks, and creating stacks around him is very easy. Shakir, Cooper, and Kincaid are all cheap, viable options that will still allow you to fill out the rest of your roster nicely.
Justin Herbert - CIN @ LAC ($7300)
Justin Herbert is a great option if you’re looking to pay down at quarterback this week. He’s averaging 19.75 points per game over the past month and now gets a great matchup in what could be a shootout against the Bengals. It’s easy to forget that Herbert was a highly regarded quarterback for fantasy not too long ago, and his decline has been caused more by the lack of talent around him than his own shortcomings. That talent around him has been stepping up as of late, and Ladd McConkey especially has started to break out in his rookie campaign. Pairing Herbert with McConkey is an extremely cheap stack that will allow you to load up with talent elsewhere, and it’s a type of build I’ll be making a lot of this week.
Other Plays: Lamar Jackson ($9000), Anthony Richardson ($6400)
Running Backs
Alvin Kamara - CLE @ NO ($8200)
Alvin Kamara decreased $300 in price since last week, despite once again getting 23 combined opportunities between rushing attempts and targets. He’s only had two games all season with less than 20 opportunities, and that’s the type of volume you are always looking to lock into your DFS lineups. He comes at a noticeable discount compared to the other elite running backs, yet possesses the upside to outscore them in any given week.
Christian McCaffrey - SEA @ SF ($9800)
Christian McCaffrey finally returned to game action last week, rushing 13 times for only 39 yards. However, he was still heavily involved in the passing game, catching 6 passes for 68 yards on 7 targets. Still, 20 opportunities are nothing to complain about, and there’s a good chance he will see even more this week now that he’s worked off some of the rust. He still comes at a huge price tag of $9800, but he is the one player who has a proven history of being able to pay off that price on a weekly basis. He is the perfect play in the cheap Herbert stacks I mentioned earlier, as you’ll have plenty of savings to afford him.
Other Plays: Chase Brown ($6800), De’Von Achane ($8700), Josh Jacobs ($7400)
Wide Receivers
George Pickens - BAL @ PIT ($7500)
Pickens enjoyed another great week with Russell Wilson as his quarterback, catching 5 passes for 91 yards and scoring a touchdown. This week, he gets to take part in the highest projected scoring game on the slate, and the Steelers will no doubt have to get more out of their offense than usual to keep up with the Ravens led by Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has been torched by opposing receivers in terms of fantasy points allowed, as can be seen by Ja’Marr Chase last week, who put up 264 yards and 3 touchdowns against them. Pickens may not be on the same level of talent as Chase, but he’s a special type of player in his own right who offers way more upside than his $7500 price tag indicates.
Puka Nacua - LAR @ NE ($8300)
Puka Nacua finally saw the target share that fantasy owners dreamed of when they drafted him in the late first or early second round of drafts this season, catching 9 passes on 14 targets for 98 yards. He is priced $500 cheaper than his teammate Cooper Kupp, but I don’t think that is deserved. Everything we’ve seen suggests Nacua is the number 1 in this offense, but people are sleeping on him due to his Week 9 performance where he only caught one pass before being ejected for throwing a punch. Enjoy the discount while you can, before he puts up a performance that can break a slate.
Calvin Ridley - MIN @ TEN ($6400)
Calvin Ridley continued his stretch of dominance since Hopkins was traded, putting up 22 fantasy points last week. Since becoming the clear top receiver in the offense, Ridley has caught 20 passes on 32 targets for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns over that 3-game span. Despite all of that, you can still put him in your lineups this week for just $6400, making him one of the clearer values on the slate.
Other Plays: Ja’Marr Chase ($9600), Garrett Wilson ($8100), Ladd McConkey ($6300)
Tight Ends
Travis Kelce - KC @ BUF ($7400)
Travis Kelce now has three straight weeks of 12+ targets and is still only $7400. Not only is he a good value among tight ends, but that kind of point per dollar would make him an excellent flex play, too. He is by far my favorite Chiefs option to use as a bring-back in Josh Allen stacks, and I’ll be playing a ton of Kelce in non-Allen lineups, too. With tight ends being so grouped together in price, it’s hard to find massive discounts at the position, so I usually find it worth it to just play the best guys.
David Njoku - CLE @ NO ($6600)
If you do want to save a little salary at the position, I like David Njoku at $6600. Cleveland’s offense operates completely differently with Jameis Winston as the starting quarterback and Amari Cooper gone, and Njoku looks to be a focal point of this new offense. He has been a lock to see at least 7 targets, and that comes with great touchdown equity and big-play ability that is rare among tight ends.
Other Plays: Brock Bowers ($7200), T.J. Hockenson ($6500)
Defenses
Expensive - Green Bay Packers at CHI ($4600)
Mid-Priced - New Orleans Saints vs CLE ($3900)
Cheap - Indianapolis Colts at NYJ ($3300)
