Week 15 Waiver Wire Targets
This week we unfortunately saw a slew of injuries, thankfully none of them super bad-looking. That means we get a somewhat interesting waiver wire week going into the fantasy playoffs.
At this point you are either already in the playoffs or have one last chance to get in, so it’s time to put up the rest of your FAAB, especially with who we have available on waivers.
Let’s dive into some players that probably should be added this week.
Ty Chandler – Running Back – Minnesota Vikings (24% rostered)
Alexander Mattison left Sunday’s game with what seems to be a high ankle sprain, so we may not see him for the next few weeks.
That leaves Ty Chandler as the healthy back. He carried the ball 12 times for 35 yards and caught three passes for seven yards in what ended as a 3-0 win for the Vikings. That’s right, it’s not a hockey or baseball score.
Minnesota finishes with the Bengals, Lions, and Packers, so it’s not a bad schedule for Running backs. Figuring Mattison at least sits a week or two, Chandler is probably the hottest pickup going into fantasy playoffs.

Jerrick McKinnon – Running Back – Kansas City Chiefs (36% rostered)
Jerrick McKinnon seems to always come on in the last few weeks of the season, and this could be yet another chance for him to help fantasy players in the playoffs.
Pacheco missed the game with an injury, and his status right now is a bit up in the air. Still, McKinnon will always be more of the “pass-catching” back, so he should be fine regardless if Pacheco or CEH is starting.
McKinnon didn’t see a ton of work against the Bills, but he did catch three passes for 18 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground.
With Kansas City struggling recently, we could see some more McKinnon as the Chiefs try to spark up the offense. McKinnon is a relatively safe grab to just see how they use him here on out.
FAAB: $10
Zamir White – Running Back – Las Vegas Raiders (1% rostered)
Josh Jacobs limped off the field late in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings, and preliminary reports don’t sound too promising.
Zamir White happens to be the next man up, but probably will share the workload with Ameer Abdullah. Still, White’s biggest plus is that he faces the Chargers next week, a team who is horrible at defending the run.
Even if he splits time, he should have enough open space to be fantasy relevant. Now we still do have to see what news comes out about Jacobs’ injury, but I’d bet they won’t rush their star player back.
The Raiders finish the season with the Chargers, Chiefs, and Colts, all teams they should be able to run on.
FAAB: $15
Chase Brown – Running Back – Cincinnati Bengals (1% rostered)
The last two weeks have actually gone under the radar for rookie Chase Brown. Brown carried the ball nine times for 61 yards in Week 13 against the Jaguars, and then had eight carries for 25 yards in Week 14. He also caught three passes for 80 yards and a touchdown this week, making him suddenly very intriguing for fantasy.
Brown really hasn’t been used all season, and hasn’t looked that great until the last few weeks. I’m not sure if the Bengals are just throwing everything out there to try and win, or if Brown is finally comfortable in the NFL, but it’s worth noting.
Jake Browning has been surprisingly good before exiting with a throwing-hand thumb issue, so I’m not all that concerned with the offense as long as he is back.
Brown is a great speculative pickup to see how he will be utilized moving forward. They also have a pretty decent schedule moving forward, and Mixon always has potential to miss time with injury.
FAAB: $10
Zay Jones – Wide Receiver – Jacksonville Jaguars (27% rostered)
Since losing Christian Kirk, Trevor Lawrence has found a new favorite target it seems in Zay Jones. Jones now has 22 targets over the last two weeks, with 14 of them coming last week against the Browns.
The Browns’ defense has been pretty good this season, so Jones only finished with five catches for 29 yards. Still, it should be enough evidence to warrant adding the veteran receiver.
There really doesn't seem to be a timeline for Kirk’s return, so for now Jones will be a major part of the offense. The Jaguars face Baltimore next week so it may be another struggle, but after that they get the Buccaneers and Panthers, two teams they should be able to throw all over on.
FAAB: $12
Noah Brown – Wide Receiver – Houston Texans (43% rostered)
Ok so Noah Brown did nothing….again...in Week 14, but frankly none of the Houston offense did anything against the Jets.
CJ Stroud had an abysmal 91 yards passing before exiting with a concussion, so you can’t really fault Brown for this one.
Nico Collins also left with a calf injury, something that may take a bit to come back from, so Brown may actually be the #1 WR moving forward.
If Stroud can clear the concussion protocol, Brown is in a great position to win people leagues. They face the Titans twice in the next three weeks, a team that struggles to stop the pass.
FAAB: $20
Isaiah Likely – Tight End – Baltimore Ravens (46% rostered)
Isaiah Likely kind of disappointed as the number one Tight End for Baltimore, but the last two weeks has been quite a bit better.
This past week against the Rams, Likely caught five of seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. Likely now has 13 targets over the last two weeks and seems to be getting comfortable again in the #1 role.
The Ravens finish the season with Jacksonville, San Francisco, and Miami, so it’s not the worst schedule for pass-catchers. Likely should be rostered in all leagues, especially with how few fantasy-relevant Tight Ends there are.
FAAB: $All
Joe Flacco – Quarterback – Cleveland Browns (4% rostered)
Who would have thought Joe Flacco would be able to just waltz back onto an NFL team and immediately make a positive impact.
Flacco has now started two games for the Browns, throwing for over 250 yards in each contest and a combined five touchdowns. He did throw one interception this past week, but led the Browns to a win over the Jaguars.
It seems like the Browns are close to a playoff spot, so we should see Flacco moving forward.
The Browns face the Bears and the Texans the next two weeks, so he should be able to put up decent numbers again. He does face the Jets in Week 17, so don’t count on him if you make it to your fantasy championship.
