Gets let go

Streveler was waived by the Dolphins on Wednesday.

Analysis: Streveler signed with Miami in February after a two-year stint in Arizona. He was expected to compete for a back-up job behind Tua Tagovailoa, but the Dolphins have since signed Teddy Bridgewater and drafted Skyler Thompson leaving him expendable. Streveler will now work to find a back-up job elsewhere.

Signs with Miami

Streveler signed a contract with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis: Streveler has played seven career games over two seasons with Arizona, completing 17-of-25 passes for 141 yards and one touchdown. He spent part of the 2021 campaign on the Ravens' practice squad, but he figures to compete for the backup job behind Tua Tagovailoa.

Restored to practice squad

Steveler (undisclosed) was restored to Baltimore's practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list Wednesday.

Analysis: Streveler was placed on the COVID list last week but is now clear of the health and safety protocols. He should continue to serve as quarterback depth for Baltimore.

Lands on practice squad COVID list

The Ravens placed Streveler (undisclosed) on the practice squad COVID-19 list, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.

Analysis: Streveler joined Baltimore's practice squad at the end of November but will now need to spend some time away from the team. It's not yet clear whether he's tested positive for COVID-19.

Heading to Baltimore

Streveler was signed to the Ravens' practice squad Monday.

Analysis: Streveler was let go from Arizona's practice squad last week, and he's now latched on with Baltimore. He's appeared in two games this season and completed six of nine passes for 36 yards with three carries for six yards.

Released Tuesday

Streveler was released by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Analysis: The quarterback was let go in a corresponding move to the addition of Trace McSorley from the Ravens. Streveler most recently stepped in to play 22 snaps in Week 10 against the Panthers, completing six passes for 36 yards. The 26-year-old will now look for another team to give him an opportunity.

Replaces injured McCoy

Streveler completed six of nine passes for 36 yards after replacing Colt McCoy (pectoral) in the third quarter of Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Panthers.

Analysis: Streveler was forced into the action after McCoy connected on 11 of 20 attempts for 107 yards and turned the ball over twice prior to being injured. Facing one of the league's better defenses, Streveler didn't produce much, but he at least led the team on its only touchdown drive Sunday. Although star quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) could return in Week 11 versus the Seahawks, if McCoy remains sidelined, Streveler would likely represent the Cardinals' top option behind Murray.

Inactive against Rams

Streveler (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Rams.

Analysis: Streveler began the season as the Cardinals' No. 2 quarterback, but he'll be a healthy scratch in Week 4. Colt McCoy will serve as the primary backup behind starter Kyler Murray.

Confirmed as No. 2 QB

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Streveler is the Cardinals' backup quarterback, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis: Streveler has logged just one offensive play since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018, but he's done enough since the start of training camp to beat out Brett Hundley for the No. 2 job behind Kyler Murray.
