Corey Kiner Sees Another Healthy Workload In Loss
Arizona Cardinals running back Corey Kiner handled 10 carries for 29 rushing yards and caught one of his two targets for six receiving yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Cowboys. The 24-year-old has logged at least 10 rushing attempts in each of the Cardinals' three preseason games thus far. With James Conner (ankle) and Trey Benson (knee) still working their way back from last year's season-ending injuries, the back end of Arizona's depth chart is far from settled. Kiner's consistent workload might indicate he has a leg up on Evan Hull and Bam Knight in that regard. Even so, Kiner's fantasy production would depend first on Jeremiyah Love's (ankle) health, and then on how he would work in behind Tyler Allgeier. For now, Kiner can be ignored in fantasy drafts, but he will be someone to watch for when the Cardinals wrap up their preseason against the Packers on August 28.

Corey Kiner Leads Cardinals In Rushing In Preseason Win
Arizona Cardinals running back Corey Kiner led the team with 59 rushing yards on 10 carries in the team's 27-14 preseason win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night. With the Cardinals featuring Jeremiyah Love (ankle) heavily in the first half and using Tyler Allgeier to relieve him, Kiner was not seen in the first half. Similar to last week's Hall of Fame Game, Kiner took over the backfield in the second half and made the most of his opportunity. Given how crowded Arizona's running back room is, Kiner has an uphill battle to secure a place on the roster. Love and Allgeier aside, Kiner is fighting to stay ahead of James Conner (ankle), Trey Benson (knee), Bam Knight, and Evan Hull. His next opportunity to show the Cardinals what he can do will come against the Cowboys on August 22.

Corey Kiner Scores First Points Of NFL Preseason
Arizona Cardinals running back Corey Kiner punched in a touchdown from the one-yard line with five seconds to go in the first quarter of Thursday's Hall of Fame Game. Kiner handled 14 carries for 57 yards, leading Arizona in rushing attempts and coming up three yards shy of team leader Bam Knight's 60 in the eventual 33-30 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Kiner operated as Knight's backup in the first half, but Kiner took on a more prominent role after halftime. Arizona's running back room is overcrowded, so Kiner did himself a favor with his solid performance. Third-overall pick Jeremiyah Love and free agent signee Tyler Allgeier are at the top of the depth chart. With Knight, James Conner (foot), and Trey Benson (knee) contending for the third-string role, Kiner will need some strong preseason showings just to hold onto a roster spot. His next chance to prove his worth will be on August 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Corey Kiner Leads 49ers Backfield Against Broncos
Rookie Corey Kiner had a solid day in his professional debut. In the 49ers' preseason opener against the Denver Broncos, Kiner led San Francisco's backfield in touches and yards, taking 10 carries for 45 yards and catching one pass for a two-yard gain. He also served as a kick returner, bringing one back for 17 yards. Kiner, an undrafted free agent, comes to the 49ers after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as a Cincinnati Bearcat and figures to see a lot of work in the preseason. San Francisco is unlikely to put Christian McCaffrey's health on the line so early, and Isaac Guerendo (shoulder) and fellow rookie Jordan James (finger) are set to miss multiple weeks while nursing injuries. Kiner will have his next chance to impress next week against the Las Vegas Raiders.
