Giants Express Confidence in Kicker Dominic Zvada
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said on Monday that the team will not be working out other kickers during their bye in Week 8, despite rookie Dominic Zvada's struggles this year, according to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. Harbaugh expressed confidence in Zvada after the team's overtime win on Sunday over the Houston Texans. In his first year in the NFL, the 23-year-old undrafted free agent out of Michigan has missed five of his first 18 field-goal attempts in seven games, including going 5-for-8 from 50-plus yards out. The good news is that he has not missed any of his 12 extra-point attempts. Zvada really struggled in the Week 7 win in Houston, missing both of his field-goal attempts and making all three of his extra points. Zvada will come out of the team's Week 8 bye as their starting placekicker for a Week 9 divisional clash against the Philadelphia Eagles, but if he continues to struggle, New York will likely go in another direction. Fantasy managers should continue to avoid the young kicker for the foreseeable future.

Dominic Zvada Looks to Stay on Track Against Texans
New York Giants rookie kicker Dominic Zvada made all three of his field goal attempts and his only extra-point attempt in the 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. After missing three field goals in the 27-27 tie with the Washington Commanders in Week 5, Zvada rebounded, making kicks from 34 and 41 yards in Week 6. Surprisingly, the Giants' offense has been very productive this season, scoring over 27 points in three straight games. They made a quarterback change from Jameis Winston to J.J. McCarthy, who has struggled with turnovers throughout his young career. Zvada faces a Houston Texans defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to kickers this season. However, the rookie carries some risk due to his inaccuracy throughout the season and the offense potentially struggling against this Texans defense.

Dominic Zvada Looks to Bounce Back Against Saints
New York Giants rookie kicker Dominic Zvada missed three costly field goals in the 27-27 tie against the Washington Commanders in Week 5. After making 10 straight kicks to start the season, Zvada struggled, missing from 46, 50, and 56 yards, including an overtime attempt that would've put New York ahead. While Zvada ranks third in field goal attempts this season, if he can't convert those looks, both the Giants and fantasy managers will lose trust in the rookie. He faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The Saints have allowed the third-most points on defense this season and the 10th-most points per game to kickers. Given the volume, Zvada offers legit starting upside this week, but he's a risky option given the inaccuracy he showed against Washington last week.

Dominic Zvada Wins Giants Kicking Job
New York Giants kicker Dominic Zvada has won the team's kicking job ahead of the regular season, head coach John Harbaugh told Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. Both Zvada and Ben Sauls made it through the entire preseason without missing a field goal, but ultimately, the former won the roster battle. Presumably, Sauls, a second-year kicker who went 7-for-7 on extra points and 8-for-8 on field goals last year, will be released. Zvada is a rookie from Michigan who went 17-for-25 on field goals during his final year at school. He didn't have the greatest senior season by any means, but he has proven capable of converting from long distance, as he hit both a 46-yarder and a 53-yarder on Friday. For now, he can be avoided in redraft and dynasty leagues, but he could get on the fantasy radar with a strong start to the regular season.
