What Can Fantasy Managers Expect from Eli Stowers in 2026?
Philadelphia Eagles rookie tight end Eli Stowers will be a piece of the puzzle in replacing A.J. Brown's team-leading 120 targets from a season ago. How big a piece remains to be seen, but indications ahead of this month's training camp suggest that the second-round pick out of Vanderbilt remains clearly behind Dallas Goedert and Johnny Mundt as the third tight end on the depth chart. Goedert led the Eagles with 11 touchdowns in 2025, while Mundt was signed to a one-year deal this offseason for what he provides as a blocker, an area of Stowers' game that will need to see notable improvement before he can earn anything close to a full-time role. At 6'3" and 239 pounds, Stowers is likely to work primarily as a jumbo slot as a rookie, but with an apparent leg injury limiting him for parts of minicamp, he still has a ways to go before fantasy managers should expect consistent contributions. Still entirely capable of developing into the top pass-catching tight end in a deep rookie class, Stowers is a wise dynasty investment with plenty of room for long-term growth, but as RotoBaller's TE37, he is unlikely to factor into drafts for 2026 redraft leagues.

Eli Stowers Suffers Leg Injury at Minicamp
Philadelphia Eagles rookie second-round tight end Eli Stowers (leg) had a sleeve on his right leg and wasn't doing much during mandatory minicamp practice on Wednesday, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Stowers' injury most likely isn't very serious, but the Eagles will ease him in during offseason workouts. We'd be surprised if he isn't ready for the start of training camp at the end of next month. The 23-year-old from Vanderbilt will most likely work for a backup role behind Dallas Goedert as he heads into his first season in the NFL with the Eagles. Stowers was converted from a quarterback to a TE in college, so he has plenty of development to do as a pass-catcher at 6-foot-4 and 239 pounds. Although Stowers is unlikely to have much of a role in Philly in 2026 behind Goedert, he has intriguing long-term value in dynasty/keeper leagues due to his above-average athleticism. In his last two collegiate seasons at Vanderbilt, Stowers had 111 total receptions for 1,407 yards and nine touchdowns in 25 games played.

Eli Stowers Worth Targeting Now Before Eventual Breakout?
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Eli Stowers is an intriguing target in dynasty leagues ahead of his rookie season. The Eagles spent a second-round pick on Stowers, and while he won't have immediate fantasy relevance since Dallas Goedert is still under contract, the Vanderbilt product does project as the tight end of the future in Philadelphia. Goedert is expected to leave the Eagles after 2026, which means Stowers could earn a large snap share this season in anticipation of him taking on the starting role in 2027. Because he's behind Goedert right now, he can be acquired at a discount before taking on top-12 upside next year and beyond. He's a very intriguing target for dynasty managers near the end of the first round in rookie drafts. At the moment, he ranks as the overall TE12 in RotoBaller's latest dynasty fantasy football rankings.

Eagles Select Eli Stowers at No. 54 Overall
The Philadelphia Eagles have selected Vanderbilt tight end prospect Eli Stowers with the 54th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. Stowers is just the second tight end selected so far this year, as well as the first to hear his name called on Day 2. There had been rumblings of the Vandy product being a first-round pick, but he ended up going near the middle of the second. The 23-year-old caught 111 passes for 1,407 yards and nine touchdowns over his final two seasons at school. He'll offer the Eagles a long-term solution at the tight end position with Dallas Goedert slated to hit free agency (and widely expected to sign elsewhere) next offseason. Stowers might not have much redraft appeal as long as Goedert is healthy and on the team, but he could jump onto the weekly fantasy radar in 2027. Plus, he's an appealing dynasty option in this successful Eagles offense, ranking as the overall TE15 in RotoBaller's latest dynasty fantasy football rankings.
