Jordan Love: No Update On Jordan Love’s Contract

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Friday that he did not have an update on quarterback Jordan Love's contract status. Love is not currently participating in practice as he awaits a contract extension. General manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this week that he believes the two sides are close to reaching an agreement, and there's still plenty of time for a deal to be worked out before the regular season begins in September. Green Bay's preseason opener is on Aug. 10 against the hosting Cleveland Browns. The 25-year-old former first-round pick proved to be an instant success during his first full season as a starter for the Packers, throwing for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns with 11 interceptions while picking up four additional scores on the ground in 16 games in 2023. Love remains safe to draft as a low-end QB1 in the second half of fantasy drafts this summer.
